MPink Design LLC. provided the architectural and interior design work on this gut rehab and addition to a turn of the century Chicago 2-flat on the North side of Chicago. Careful attention to materials and textures create a modern and warm interior. Every detail was carefully thought out and designed in collaboration with the Owner.
The two story addition on the rear of the home included an exterior porch with large folding glass doors and a bedroom above.
As with all of our projects, we discussed multiple layout options for the home and landed on one that would increase interior space without reducing too much of the exterior. The flow from the kitchen to the porch and yard were critical in this decision.
